One of my very first experiences sleeping outside was in a lean-to at the north end of Raquette Lake. At some ungodly hour in the middle of the night I felt a slimy creature on my leg; I unzipped and flung said creature (slug I’m assuming) to only God knows where. I immediately zipped back in and knocked out. Although I handled that situation like a true champ –I thought- I still prefer sleeping in a hammock out in the wild and that’s one of many reasons why.
In my most recent page, which you can find under New York >> Adirondack Park >> ENO Hammock System or right HERE, I review the ENO double nest and share why I wouldn’t spend a few nights in the wilderness without it! Check it out if you’re someone who spends multiple nights in the backwoods… best backpacking upgrade of mine yet! A true 5 out of 5 stars from me and mine.
